A weekend of surf, paddleboarding, camping and coastal adventures with the Sunday Surf Club community. The itinerary and timings may change depending on tides, swell and weather conditions. If surf conditions are unsuitable, paddleboarding will replace sessions. Every activity is optional, so you can take the weekend at your own pace. This is a hosted social surf weekend, not a coaching weekend, if you would like to join the surf lessons led by Glide Surf School, please let Liv know 4 days before the trip. All activities form part of the weekend event and are reserved for booked guests.
Camping
We’ll be staying at Breck Farm Campsite near Holt, on the doorstep of Sheringham Park and just a short drive from Sheringham and Weybourne. This is a simple, traditional campsite with toilets and showers. It isn’t a luxury campsite, but it’s one of the only campsites in Norfolk that still allows campfires — making it the perfect base for the weekend.
Your two-night non-electric camping pitch is included in the trip price. You’ll just need to bring your own tent or campervan, along with any camping equipment you’ll need for the weekend.
We’ll be out exploring for much of the day, returning to camp in the evenings after dinner for campfires and sleeping. If you’d prefer a slower pace, you’re welcome to spend time relaxing at the campsite and dip in and out of activities throughout the weekend.
You can bring your own tent or find a buddy in the WhatsApp group chat before the trip to share. You’ll need to bring:
- Roll-mat
- Sleeping bag
- Head torch
- Warm clothes (evenings can get chilly)
Anything else, just let me know, and I’ll help you sort it!

Surf & SUP
Depending on the surf forecast we’ll either surf or paddleboard. Whether you’re a complete beginner, need a refresher, or just need to hire gear, we’ve got you covered.
- Bring Your Own — If you’ve got your own surfboard/SUP and wetsuit, bring them along!
- Surf Lessons — If you’re new to surfing or it’s been a while, you can join a 2hr group surf lesson run by the local guys at Glide Surf School, Cromer. Lessons are £44, including all equipment. Lessons are non-refundable and are only confirmed a few days before the trip based on the surf forecast.
- Hire — If you know how to surf but just need to hire, here are your options:
- Soft-top board — £20 per day
- Wetsuits — £34 for 2 days
- Stand Up Paddleboard — £25 for 2 hours (available at both coastal and inland locations)
On surf days, the group will split into two: those taking the coached lesson with glide, and those surfing freely on the same lifeguarded beach as the lesson. If we are stand up Paddleboarding, we will spend one day paddleboarding at the coast, and the other session inland exploring the quiet rivers in Norfolk.

Food & Drink
Friday evening kicks off with wood fired pizza on the beach at sunset, which is included in your booking. For breakfasts, do your own thing whether that’s a quick bowl of cereal or a full camping breakfast cooked on your stove, it’s completely up to you. Saturday lunch will be flexible picnic-style food, so make sure to bring plenty of snacks and lunch supplies for your day. We’ll be passing shops and cafe’s throughout the weekend, so you’ll always have the option to buy food along the way if you’d prefer. After a full day of activities on Saturday, we will head to Wells harbour for fish and chips. Sunday morning follows the same relaxed approach, with everyone sorting breakfast themselves. For lunch on Sunday, we’ll order food at one of Sheringham’s beach cafes, there’s lots of choices!

Group Size and Minimum Age
Our trips are capped at 20 people — big enough to meet loads of new people but still small enough to keep things personal, inclusive, and friendly. All guests must be 18 or over. Our trips attract a mix of ages and backgrounds, brought together by a shared love of the outdoors. This weekend is ideal for: Solo travellers, beginner & intermediate surfers, paddle boarders, bodyboarders, swimmers, outdoorsy social people, and ultimately anyone wanting a weekend in nature with like-minded people.

FAQs
Q: What time do we need to arrive?
Arrive by 19:00 on Friday to get settled in. We’ll kick things off with a coastal walk on the beach and a wood-fired pizza while the sun sets. Don’t worry if you’re running late, just update Liv on your ETA and you can find out where to meet us (we’ll be heading to the beach straight after setting up our tents).
Q: Do I need to bring my own surfboard?
Nope! You can bring your own gear, or you can hire equipment or book surf lessons. Bookings for rental and lessons will be discussed in the WhatsApp Chat a few days before the event.
Q: Can I come solo?
Absolutely! Most people come on their own, it’s a great way to meet other like-minded people, that’s exactly the reason I started these camps — as a way to meet other adventurous people! Not all of your friends will be into surfing or outdoorsy adventurous activities, so find friends that are 🙂
Q: Can I bring my own tent?
Yes! You can either bring your own tent or find a buddy in the WhatsApp chat before the trip to share. Most people share, it’s a great way to meet others and help out on the tent set up.
Q: Is food included?
Only the Pizza night on Friday is included.
Q: What if I’ve never surfed before?
No worries! We’ve got surf lessons for beginners, and you’ll be surfing with the group, so there’s no pressure — just lots of fun! Most people haven’t ever surfed before either.
Q: What if I need to leave early?
Things come up, don’t worry! You’re free to leave or dip in and out whenever you need, just let me know so we can help with car shares or coordinating transport.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
Yes dogs are welcome on the campsite as long as they are kept on leads at all times and remain the owner’s responsibility at all times. As the weekend involves time in the water and moving between different locations, it can be a lot to manage alongside a dog, so we generally recommend leaving furry friends at home unless you’re confident it will work for you.
Q: The itinerary looks so fun, but will I be able to take downtime and skip some activities?
It’s definitely an action-packed weekend, but if you need some downtime, no worries! You can skip an activity and take it easy whenever you need. Whether it’s a quiet moment at camp or a chilled walk along the coast, you can always choose to do your own thing.
