Choose Your Surf Package
Whether you’re confident catching waves or trying surfing for the first time, we’ve got you covered. Surf independently with the group in the Standard Adventure, or join the Full Surf Camp with 3 guided lessons over the long weekend. Either way, you’ll spend your mornings in the water, afternoons exploring beaches and coastal trails (or surfing more if you’re up for it!), and evenings around campfires and socials with like-minded people.
Full Surf Camp £395
For first-timers and improvers who want supportive, confidence-building surf lessons alongside a social weekend.
— 3 group surf lessons designed for beginners and improvers, by experienced local instructors at Stoked Surf School.
— Lessons combine clear beach-based guidance with plenty of time in the water, plus supportive tips and encouragement from instructors throughout the session.
— Board and wetsuit included during lessons
— Want more water time? Keep the board and wetsuit for extra sessions at £15/day
Most people book this package — you’ll be learning alongside others at the same stage in small, supportive groups.
Standard Adventure £285
For surfers who are past the beginner stage and want a social weekend of shared surf sessions, not lessons.
— Surf independently at the same time and beach as the lessons, on a RNLI-lifeguarded stretch of Perranporth.
— Non-instructed group surf sessions.
— Ideal if you’re confident paddling out and want the freedom to surf at your own pace with new mates.
— Want to try a single surf lesson instead of the 3-day package? Book an ad-hoc lesson for £45
— Bring your own board and wetsuit, or rent gear with our discounted 3-day bundles — surfboard £35, wetsuit £30.
There’s a mix of surf abilities on camp, so you’ll always have friends to surf with.

Cornwall Surf Camp — Festival Edition 4-8th June
Want to add a beach festival to your surf camp? The 4–8th June trip runs alongside Tunes in the Dunes Festival, a weekend music festival right on Perranporth Beach. After our morning surf session, we’ll head down on Saturday afternoon/evening to catch the headliners: The Wombats · The Proclaimers · The Amy Winehouse Band. Your Saturday Festival ticket costs £45 and is added on top of your chosen surf package at checkout. Trip Itinerary
- Thursday: Welcome
- Arrive at 4pm at the campsite, get settled at the campsite, and pitch your tent up together with the group.
- Kick things off with a coastal walk to the beach for fish and chips, followed by a volleyball game (friendly but competitive)
- After the game, we’ll walk back along the coastal path as the sunsets, before heading to our tents for our first night under the stars.
- Friday: Surf & Family Dinner
- Start the day with breakfast together in the outdoor seating area of the campsite, followed by 2 hours of surfing — whether you’re a beginner taking your first surf lesson with our local surf instructors, hiring or bringing your own board, this session is all about getting in the water and gaining confidence with new mates.
- In the afternoon, we’ll head to a stunning beach nearby for some beach games.
- Back at camp for our family dinner (included) with live music, followed by card games and a low-key silent disco (optional).
- Saturday: Surf & Campfire
- Our second 2 hour surf session in the morning after breakfast — either progressing with a lesson or catching waves on your own with your new surf pals.
- The afternoon is flexible, with it being open to the group whether we want to head to another beach for a coastal walk, or head in for another surf (perfect for those on lessons wanting to practice what they’ve learnt in their lesson this morning — £15 extra for hire of board and wetsuit).
- In the evening, enjoy a wholesome campfire night with music, marshmallows, and games. A laid-back, social evening to round off an action-packed day.
- Sunday: Final Surf & Explore
- One last surf session in the morning on Perranporth beach.
- Explore the huge Sand Dunes at Holywell beach and a game of rounders all together.
- After the beach, we’ll wrap up the day with a sunset coastal hike around Perranporth. Explore the hidden caves and the rugged cliffs, taking in the breathtaking views of the coastline, before heading back to camp for a final night under the stars.
- Monday: Departure
- Time to pack up and say your goodbyes (or start planning your next surf trip together!)
- Check-out is 11am, plenty of time for a chilled final breakfast with everyone before packing away your camping gear. You’ll typically car-share home with the person(s) you buddied up with on the way here, unless you drove solo, or if you’re catching a bus/train we’ll help coordinate car shares to get you home.

Camping
We’ll be staying at Anchor Barrow Campsite, a super chilled, family-run site with modern facilities to make camping easy. They even host weddings in winter!
- Hot Showers & Proper Toilets
- Phone Charging — There are plug sockets and charging lockers
- On-site Barn with Food & Bar — The campsite offers amazing themed feasts, one of which we will have our family dinner, and there’s a bar serving local drinks.
- Loads of space — Football pitch, picnic areas, table-tennis, volleyball court, and plenty of room to chill around our camp.

Tenting:
You can bring your own tent or find a buddy in the WhatsApp group chat before the trip to share. Most people share to make it a bit more fun! You’ll need to bring:
- Roll-mat or airbed
- Sleeping bag or duvet
- Head torch for the evenings
- Warm clothes (evenings can get chilly)
Van’s are welcome too! We’re just on non-electric pitches so we can all be together.
Anything else, just let me know, and I’ll help you sort it!

Vibe & Who’s It For
This trip is all about surfing, adventure, and connecting with like-minded people. It’s laid-back but packed with fun—surfing, exploring, beach games, and evenings around the campfire. This camp is for all surfing abilities.
Solo? Most people come alone, the vibe is social — it’s the perfect opportunity to meet other adventurous people.
If you’re into outdoor adventures, good company, and an active weekend, you’ll like this community.
Why We Partner With Stoked Surf School
We’ve partnered with Stoked Surf School for the past three years because of their experienced instructors, supportive teaching style, and unbeatable beachside setup. Lessons combine clear theory, plenty of time in the water, and individual feedback during the lesson — with modern changing facilities and hot showers right by the beach.
Whether you’re learning to surf, improving, or just need to hire a board/wetsuit, you’re covered.

Food & Drink
We keep things laid-back and flexible when it comes to food — so you can do as much (or as little) as you like!
- Breakfast (Included) — Start every morning at camp in the canopy area, choose from breakfast baps, dirty hash-browns, sourdough toast or waffles, (vegetarian & meat options available)
- Family Dinner Night (Included) — Enjoy an evening meal all together in the barn, with live music.
- Fish & Chips — As soon as we’ve settled in and pitched our tents up, we’ll head down to the beach for fish & chips before a game of volleyball — the perfect way to kick off the trip!
- Other Meals — the rest is up to you! Here’s how most people do it:
- Post-surf, we’ll usually grab a Cornish pasty in town.
- There’s a Co-op (20 min walk from campsite) if you’d want to grab something easy.
- You’ll need to sort your own food for 2/4 nights, but there’s plenty of options:
- Takeaway pizza from town
- Campsite microwaves for quick ready meals
- Go full-on camping mode and cook with me!
- If you don’t fancy cooking, the barn on-site does themed feats every night and the food is soo good. Perfect if you want a chilled evening meal without the effort and with live music!
Basically you can keep it simple or go all out, your call!

Whether you’re a complete beginner, need a refresher, or just need to hire gear, we’ve got options for you!
Bring Your Own — If you’ve got your own board and wetsuit, feel free to bring them!
Surf Lessons — If you’re new to surfing or it’s been a while, you can join a 2-hour surf lesson with the local legends at Stoked Surf School. We get an exclusive 10% off group lessons, so you can book in for just £45, including all the gear! Want to level up? You can take three lessons throughout the trip for a bundle price of £110 (saving you £12!).
Board & Wetsuit Hire — If you know how to surf but just need to hire:
- Soft-top board — £15 per day, or 3 days for £35 (saving £10!)
- Hardboard — £25 per day, or 3 days for £55 (saving £20!)
- Wetsuit — £12.50 per day, or 3 days for £30 (saving £7.50)
Basically, whether you’re learning to surf, or just need gear, you’re covered! Book your lesson or board hire during checkout before the trip!

Group Size
Our trips are capped at 20 people, with most people coming along solo. Over the last couple of summers, we’ve hosted surf trips with a range of group sizes, and 20 strikes the best balance — big enough to meet loads of new people but still small enough to keep things personal, inclusive, and wholesome. It also means we keep things flexible while making sure everyone gets the most out of the trip.
If you love outdoor adventures, surfing and meeting like-minded people, you’ll fit right in!

How to Get There & Car Shares
Most people drive to the campsite and pick up others on the way. We’ll sort out car shares in the WhatsApp chat before the trip, so you’ll always have someone to travel with!
Arrival time is 4pm Thursday.
- Driving — If you’re driving, just head straight to Anchor Barrow Campsite (Postcode: TR6 0ED), and you’ll be able to find parking at our camping area.
- Taking the Train — If you’re coming by train, the closest station is Newquay, which is about 40 minutes away. You can car share from there (we’ll sort this in the groupchat) or take the bus to the campsite.
Feel free to WhatsApp us if you need help with any travel plans!

General FAQs
Do I need to come with friends or can I come solo?
Absolutely come solo — most people do. These camps are designed for solo travellers who want to meet other active, like-minded people. You’ll settle in quickly, and everything is done as a group, so you’re never on your own unless you want to be.
What’s the vibe — is this a party weekend?
The vibe is social, outdoorsy and relaxed. Think early surf sessions, beach adventures, campfires and a few beers in the evening — not late-night partying. For the Festival Edition, Saturday afternoon/evening is more lively at the festival, but the rest of the trip keeps the same chilled surf-camp feel.
What time do we arrive and leave?
Please arrive by 4pm on Thursday to get settled and pitch tents together. We’ll kick things off with a coastal walk to the beach and fish and chips. If you’re running late, just message the group host with your ETA and you can meet us at the beach. Departure is Monday morning, after a relaxed final breakfast and pack-down.
What Food is included?
Breakfast is included every morning (cooked by the campsite). We also have our family dinner included, this takes place Friday evening in the barn. For the other evenings, you’re free to grab food locally — pasties, takeaway pizza, or cook together as a group. It’s all very relaxed and social.
Do I need to bring my own surfboard or wetsuit?
Nope — it’s totally up to you. The Full Surf Camp includes 3 group lessons with surfboard and wetsuit hire. In the Standard Adventure Package you can either:
- Bring your own board and wetsuit
- Rent gear locally via our discounted hire bundles
- Or book surf lessons, which include all equipment
Everything can be sorted through the website or with the host once you’ve booked.
What if I’ve never surfed before?
No problem at all. Most people are complete beginners. Our Full Surf Camp Experience includes beginner-friendly group lessons with trusted local instructors, and you’ll be learning alongside others in the group at the same level.
Can I surf at other beaches during the trip?
Yes. All scheduled surf sessions take place at Perranporth, on a RNLI-lifeguarded beach — ideal for group surfing and lessons. Afternoon activities often take place at nearby beaches like Crantock, where you’re welcome to surf again. If you want to dip out and surf elsewhere independently, just have a chat with the host — they’ll happily share local spot recommendations.
Do I have to take part in every activity?
Not at all. There’s always something planned, but everything is optional. If you want downtime — chilling at camp, a quiet beach walk, or skipping a session — that’s completely fine.
Can I share a tent?
Yes. You can bring your own tent or share with someone else. Most people team up in the WhatsApp group beforehand — it’s a great way to meet people and makes setup easier.
What if the weather is bad?
Our camps are mainly outdoors, and while we hope for sunshine, we always have solid backup plans. If surf conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll adjust timings or reshuffle surf days during the trip to make sure we still get at least three surf sessions where possible. If conditions are bad we’ll swap in alternative activities — Cornwall has loads to offer rain or shine (past trips have included escape rooms and visits to Bodmin Jail). In the unlikely event that beaches are closed due to weather conditions, all surf lessons and surf hire will be fully refunded.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed on the campsite, but a few things to note:
- Dogs must be friendly and kept on a lead at all times, including beaches due to local rules.
- You’re responsible for your dog at all times, especially while surfing
If in doubt, message ahead to check it’s a good fit.
What if I need to leave early?
That’s fine — things come up. Just let the host know so we can help coordinate lifts or transport if needed.
Festival Edition FAQs
What’s different about the Festival Edition trip?
The Festival Edition follows the same surf camp itinerary, with one change: After surfing on Saturday, we’ll head back to camp to get ready for the Tunes in the Dunes, a beachside music festival on Perranporth Beach.
Do I need to buy my own festival ticket?
No, your festival ticket is included in the Festival Edition price. Tickets are currently priced at £45, with prices increasing in later phases — early booking secures the lowest rate.
How do we get to the festival?
We’ll walk down together — it’s about 25 minutes along the coast. On the way back, we’ll either walk or arrange car shares so no one returns alone.
Can I skip the festival and just do the surf camp?
You can, although if you’d prefer a surf-and-adventure weekend without the festival, we recommend booking our Classic Cornwall Surf Camp which runs the following week with the same surf, beaches, and campfire vibes — saves you the £45 ticket price.
