Trip Itinerary
  • Thursday: Welcome
    • Arrive at 4pm at the campsite, get settled at the campsite, and pitch your tent up together with the group.
    • Kick things off with a coastal walk to the beach for fish and chips, followed by a volleyball game (friendly but competitive to break the ice and make connections)
    • After the game, we’ll walk back along the coastal path as the sun dips below the horizon, taking in the views before heading to our tents for our first night’s sleep.
  • Friday: Surf & Explore Cornwall’s Stunning Beaches
    • Start the day with breakfast together in the outdoor seating area of the campsite, followed by 2 hours of surfing — whether you’re a beginner taking your first surf lesson with our local surf instructors, hiring or bringing your own board, this session is all about getting in the water and having fun.
    • In the afternoon, we’ll head to a hidden gem beach nearby for some beach games (volleyball, spikeball, rounders) in a stunning spot.
    • Back at camp, the evening ramps up with a silent disco (optional), or if you prefer a more relaxed vibe, we’ll have card games in the barn beforehand.
  • Saturday: Surf Explore & BBQ Night
    • Another 2 hour surf session in the morning after breakfast — either progressing with a lesson or catching waves on your own with your new surf pals.
    • The afternoon is flexible, with it being open to the group whether we want to head to another beach for a coastal walk and games, surf again (£15 extra for hire of board and wetsuit) or head for an adrenaline-fuelled slip session (this was everyone’s favourite on our second June trip, but due to weather dependence I’ve decided to keep Saturday flexible).
    • In the evening, we’ll come together for a BBQ feast at camp, followed by a wholesome campfire night with music, marshmallows, and games. A laid-back, social evening to round off an action-packed day.
  • Sunday: Big Adventure Down South & Sunset Hike
    • One last surf session in the morning, perfect for catching some final waves.
    • After lunch, we’ll take a road trip down south to visit one of Cornwall’s most breathtaking beaches — this could be Pedn Vounder, Kynance Cove, St. Michael’s Mount, or Nanjizal Beach… the group decides! Expect blue waters, incredible coastal scenery, and time to relax or swim!
    • After the beach, we’ll wrap up the day with a sunset coastal hike around Perranporth. Explore the hidden caves and the rugged cliffs, taking in the breathtaking views of the coastline, before heading back to camp for a final night under the stars.
  • Monday: Departure
    • Time to pack up and say your goodbyes (or start planning your next surf trip together!)
    • Check-out is 11am, plenty of time for a chilled final breakfast with everyone before packing away your camping gear. You’ll typically car-share home with the person(s) you buddied up with on the way here, unless you drove solo, or if you’re catching a bus/train we’ll help coordinate car shares to get you home.
Vibe & Who’s It For

This trip is all about surfing, adventure, and connecting with like-minded people. It’s laid-back but packed with fun—surfing, exploring, beach games, and evenings around the campfire. We’ll be checking out the best beaches in Cornwall, with a special focus on the stunning beaches down South, like Pedn Vounder and Kynance Cove. Whether you’re new to surfing or you’ve been surfing years, everyone’s welcome!

The vibe is social — most people come solo and end up bonding over surf sessions, BBQs, and beach activities. It’s the perfect chance to meet other adventurous people who are up for a good time.

If you’re into outdoor adventures, good company, and an active weekend, this trip is definitely for you!

Group Size

Our trips are capped at 20 people, which we’ve found is the perfect number! Over the last couple of summers, we’ve hosted surf trips with a range of group sizes, and 20 strikes the best balance — big enough to meet loads of new people but still small enough to keep things personal, inclusive, and wholesome.

With 20 people, there’s a solid mix of solo travellers and friends, and you’ll quickly find your new mates — whether it;s in the surf, over a beach game, or around the campfire. It also means we keep things flexible while making sure everyone gets the most out of the trip.

If you love outdoor adventures, surfing and meeting like-minded people, you’ll fit right in!

How to Get There & Car Shares

Most people drive to the campsite and pick up others on the way. We’ll sort out car shares in the WhatsApp chat before the trip, so you’ll always have someone to travel with!

Arrival time is 4pm Thursday, so plan to get there around then.

  • Taking the Train — If you’re coming by train, the closest station is Newquay, which is about 40 minutes away. You can car share from there (we’ll sort this in the groupchat) or take the bus to the campsite.

FAQs

Q: What’s different about the Festival Edition trip?
This trip has the same adventure-packed itinerary, but instead of heading down south to Pedn Vounder after surfing on Sunday, We’ll be getting ready for Tunes in the Dunes — a beachside festival with live music. It’s the perfect way to wrap up an insane weekend of surfing and exploring.

Q: What’s the vibe, are we partying all weekend?
The weekend is laid-back and social, with chilled beers around the campfire in the evenings, but it’s not a party trip. We’re keeping it relaxed until Sunday afternoon, when we go all in at the festival!

Q: Do I need to buy my own festival ticket?
Nope! Your Sunday Festival ticket is already included in the trip price. Tickets tend to sell out quickly, so I’ve already secured 20 tickets for the group — no stress about booking your own!

Q: How do we get to the festival?
We’ll walk to the festival as it’s in Perranporth, about 25 minute walk away along h the coast. We’ll sort out car shares or taxis on the day for the way home. Some people might stay until the very end, while others might head back earlier. We’ll help coordinate lifts back to the camp and make sure no one goes back alone.

Q: Can I skip the festival and just do the surf trip?
This trip is all about surfing, adventure, and ending the weekend at the festival, so your Tunes in the Dunes ticket is included in the price. If you’re not feeling the festival vibe, you’re still welcome to join, but most of the group will be heading there on Sunday night.

Prefer a more laid-back, adventure-packed weekend instead? Join us on one of our classic surf trips the following week! These trips follow the same insane itinerary, but instead of the festival, we head down south to explore Cornwall’s most stunning beaches — Pedn Vounder, Kynance Cove and secret coastal gems. It’s the perfect option if you’d rather keep things chill and focus on surfing, hiking, and beach games!

Q: What time do we need to arrive?
Arrive by 4pm on Thursday to get settled in. We’ll kick things off with a coastal walk to the beach and grab fish and chips together! Don’t worry if you’re running late, just update Liv on your ETA and you can find out where to meet us (we’ll be heading to the beach straight after setting up our tents).

Q: Do I need to bring my own surfboard?

Yes! You can bring your own tent or find a buddy in the WhatsApp chat before the trip to share. Most people share, it’s a great way to meet others and help out on the tent set up.

Q: What should I bring for the festival?
Pack whatever you’d normally bring for camping and the beach, and just bring a Hawaiian shirt for the festival! We’ll head back to the campsite after surfing to get ready. I’d recommend bringing warm layers (for under your shirt), a small bag or bumbag, ID and cash/card for food and drinks at the festival.

Q: Is food included?
Breakfast is included everyday (with breakfast baps made by the campsite), and we’ve got a BBQ night too. You’ll need to sort your own meals for a couple of nights, but there are plenty of options like pasties, takeaway pizza, or cooking with the group.

Q: The itinerary looks so fun, but will I be able to take downtime and skip some activities?
It’s definitely an action-packed weekend, but if you need some downtime, no worries! You can easily skip an activity and take it easy whenever you need. Whether it’s a quiet moment at camp or a chilled walk along the coast, you can always choose to relax.
